We like small acoustic guitars. Vibrant tone, sparkling heights, easy to play. The obvious drawback is not that prominent bass. Thinking of this problem one day, we realized that engineers building acoustic speakers long time ago were facing the same issue.
Small speakers don’t produce solid base. The solution with speakers was – the sound port, designed to work with small cabinet’s volume to emphasize the low frequency of the required spectrum.
An acoustic guitar is a “sound box”. We designed a sound port that is hidden inside of the guitar and tuned to help bringing up the low end frequency. Is it crazy? Hmm… not according to our standards.
We’re still experimenting with the concept, but small guitars (19” x 15”) with this feature give out an ample amount of bass.<< Back to Innovations
